Treat yourself to a special break with us, impress someone with your thoughtfulness, take away happy memories. Let us arrange the flowers and make a dinner reservation for you. There isn't another place as good as this at this price! The 21st century has reached our place, too -- Sky TV available, and WiFi throughout the house for your convenience.

Journey to Monet's peaceful garden at Giverny, the Monet Room is like waking up in your personal heaven. A king size bed dressed with exquisite French bed linen ensures a delightful night's sleep. The ensuite bathroom's mural is a delightful waterfall; lush bamboo in the corner and pretty insects on the handpainted tiles. The Monet Room is my husband's favourite.

The Wil Shakespeare Room is an indulgence: romantic, blissfully comfortable with king sized 4 poster bed and en suite shower with handpainted tiles. A corner cupboard with tea/coffee, wine glasses, refrigerator - everything you need to set the mood and let the weekend be perfect. Get carried away in this beautiful spacious and delightful decor. A favourite room with many of our guests.

The Spring Meadow Room -
This room is as fresh as May. Like falling back into an Austrian mountaintop pasture - I'm recalling a blissful holiday high in the Tyrol - those wonderful feelings of peace and tranquility, relaxed and comfortable, enjoying green pastures listening to the bees busy amongst the flowers.
For versatility, there's a double bed and a single day bed (disguised with pillows to resemble a settee) with bathroom decorated to match; ideal for couples or adult friends travelling together or a family of three or four. There's a "truckle bed" on wheels underneath the day bed. A flat screen telly with Sky TV. Like visiting a country cousin in her hillside cottage with antiques, a beautiful garden, and great hospitality. Rich yet subdued and relaxing, this is a great place to retreat, suspend your reality for a time, heal and put yourself together again after too long without a break; everything's come together in a fabulous manner - I can heartily recommend it.
The Master Bedroom -The ultimate most fabulous bed; a Georgian 4 poster super-king size bed is the most heavenly bed where you'll want to spend all day amongst the pillows, listening to the birds or catching up on your favourite soaps on Sky TV! It tempts you to ignore the delights to be had exploring the Peak District. It's brand new, so is awaiting the Whole Treatment with fabric swathes, etc., but the Vi-Spring 6 foot mattress gives your best night's sleep in a long time. There's a second bedroom connecting - ideal accommodation for either girl friends travelling together, extended family members or a family with children. It has a large single bed, (and has space for an additional fold-away bed), tea/coffee making corner, built-in wardrobe. There's an ensuite showerroom between the two bedrooms. The views are leafy and uninterrupted of near and distant hills & dales and also of our large interesting garden in which you are very welcome to wander and sit when the weather inspires. Below is a picture of the single bedroom which is part of the Master Suite (and which can't be let on its own). For long haul travellers who have accumulated a lot of luggage, this is an ideal place to spread out and get organised!

This smallest bedroom in the house (attached to the Master) has captivated many a young heart. It has a charm which eludes the camera. Its appeal has also heartened many a tired parent who is glad to file their offspring in bed at 8 p.m. and have some big person's time to themselves - so unusual when on holiday and generally enduring a little too much togetherness!
Having settled the young ones, if the appeal of a dip in the spa beckons, we'll be glad to listen out for young foot-treads while you soak away the day's exertions.
Here's the hot tub pavilion in the garden, lit by a canopy of twinkling "stars" and romantic candelabra. Bubble away your aches and stress, enjoy some quiet private chat with your favourite person, sip something tasty, drift away towards a blissfully restful night's sleep in a heavenly king size bed. Sounds like a plan to me!
